The short version
- You can read every page without an account. Our contact form and newsletter are optional.
- Our reviews, lists and other pages set no cookies, show no ads and use no tracking pixels.
- Our Health Guides are the exception: they play videos hosted by Vturb and use Flow Tracking to measure which of our Google Ads lead to a purchase. Details below.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- If you write to us, we use your message only to reply.
- If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email only to send it, and you can unsubscribe in one click.
Who we are
Health & Wellness Reviews (healthwellnessreviews.com) is operated by Willyans Suhr, Boston, Massachusetts, United States. We are responsible for the personal data described on this page. You can reach us at contact@healthwellnessreviews.com.
What we collect and why
| Data | Why we use it | Legal basis (GDPR / UK GDPR) | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your email address, subject and message, when you write to us by email or through the contact form | To read and answer your message | Your request and our legitimate interest in replying | Up to 24 months after the conversation ends, then deleted |
| Your email address, when you subscribe to the newsletter, plus the date you signed up, and whether you open or click our emails | To send our weekly email with new reviews and guides, and to see which topics readers find useful | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time | Until you unsubscribe; then removed from our sending list within 30 days |
| Technical data: IP address, browser type, page requested, date and time | To deliver the site, keep it fast and protect it from attacks | Our legitimate interest in running a secure website | Kept by our hosting provider for a short period under its own policy |
| On Health Guides pages only: how you reached the page (for example the ad click identifier Google adds to the link and the campaign tags in the address), pages viewed, device and browser type, IP address, and whether the visit later led to a purchase on the seller’s website | To learn which of our Google Ads bring readers who buy, and to report those sales to Google Ads so our campaigns reach the right people | Your consent where the law requires it; otherwise our legitimate interest in measuring our own advertising | Kept by Flow Tracking and Google Ads under their own retention settings |
| On Health Guides pages only: video playback data (for example play, pause and how much of the video was watched), with IP address and device type | To deliver the video and see whether it is useful to readers | Our legitimate interest in running and improving the page | Kept by Vturb under its own retention settings |
| Your language choice | To show the site in the language you picked | Stored only on your device | Until you clear your browser’s site data |
The language choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it.
Newsletter
Our weekly newsletter is optional. You are added to it when you enter your email in the sign-up box on our site. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at contact@healthwellnessreviews.com.
Cookies and tracking
Our reviews, best-of lists, category pages and policy pages do not set cookies and do not use analytics, advertising or social media trackers.
Health Guides (pages under /guides/) work differently:
- Flow Tracking loads a script that records how you arrived (for example from one of our Google Ads) and, if you buy on the seller’s website after clicking from the guide, links that sale back to the ad. It may use cookies or similar browser storage to do this. Flow Tracking then reports the conversion to Google Ads (Google LLC), which uses it to measure and improve our campaigns under Google’s own privacy policy.
- Vturb hosts the videos in our guides. Its player loads from Vturb’s servers, which receive your IP address and playback data, and it may use cookies or similar browser storage.
On our Health Guides in German, French, Italian and Spanish, Flow Tracking only loads after you click “Accept” in the notice at the bottom of the page. If you decline, nothing is loaded. Your choice is saved in your browser, and you can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the end of the guide. The Vturb video player loads either way, so the video can play.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage how Google uses ad data at myadcenter.google.com. Blocking these tools does not stop the guide from working, although the video may not play.
Affiliate links
Some links on our pages are affiliate links. They pass through a short address on our site (for example /go/product-name/) and then take you to the seller’s official website.
Once you arrive there, the seller and its affiliate network (such as ClickBank, BuyGoods or Media Scalers) may use cookies to record that you came from our site, so we can earn a commission if you buy. Those cookies are set on their websites and are covered by their own privacy policies. We only receive sales reports from the networks. We never receive your name, address or payment details.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers that process data for us:
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site and protects it (content delivery and security).
- Hostinger hosts our email inbox.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) delivers the contact form messages to our inbox and sends our newsletter.
- Flow Tracking measures sales that come from our Google Ads on Health Guides pages.
- Google LLC (Google Ads) receives conversion reports from Flow Tracking for our ad campaigns.
- Vturb hosts and plays the videos on our Health Guides.
These providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. When that happens, they rely on recognized safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@healthwellnessreviews.com and we will answer within 30 days.
- European Union and United Kingdom: you also have the right to restrict or object to our use of your data, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
- United States (including California): we do not sell personal information. On Health Guides, data about ad clicks and purchases is sent to Google Ads only to measure the results of our own campaigns. If you do not want this, email us and we will tell you how to opt out; you will not be treated differently for using your privacy rights.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has written to us or subscribed, contact us and we will delete their data.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We keep the data we collect to a minimum and limit who can access our inbox.
Changes to this policy
When our practices change, we update this page and the date at the top. If we add new tools, such as analytics, they will be listed here before they go live.
